Retreat Training

Evolve your karate with one to one or small group instruction in a beautiful natural setting.

Wildcamp gashuku and dojo visits now available in the pine forested mountains of central Portugal.

Whether you want to get away for a guided wild-camp, or visit as part of a small group of dedicated karate-ka, I can offer tailored retreat experiences for you in Portugal with assistance in airport transfers and accommodation. Options include 1-1 wildcamps, and dojo visits for 6-12 heads.

The study content can be crafted to suit your interest and skill level. Drawn from aspects of Hanashiro and Tachimura-ha karate, Ryukyuan Kobudo, Shiatsu and Okinawan Longevity practises.

The Dojo is located in the town of Lousã, approximately 30-minutes drive from the historic capital of Coimbra serviced by trains from Lisbon and Porto.

Lousã is situated at the foot of the scenic Serra da Lousã mountain range within walking distance from the dojo.
